Several reports have it that, as part of placing second at the African Cup of Nations (AFCON 2015) which we spent 8 million dollars to participate while aiming to win the ultimate prize of 1.5 million dollars, the Black Stars and the management members of the team would each receive a Jeep Cherokee—and the above photo circulating around seems to indicate that the vehicles are ready.

This gift for the Black Stars (though not confirmed yet) comes after each of the 23 players has already received $85,000 for their three week toil serving the people of Ghana in Equatorial Guinea—with further $25,000 each promised by the President of Ghana-John Dramani Mahama.

Apparently each brand new Jeep Cherokee cost $76,000 and would be Tannick Automobile, a company located on the Ashaiman-Tema motorway. The company is known for importing Jeep and Chrysler vehicles into the country.

Asempa Sports has reported that, the company has already supplied seven of the vehicles and Sports Minister-Mahama Ayariga has already taken delivery of his Jeep Cherokee vehicle.

For the players who are out of the country, their assigned family members would have to pick up their vehicle—and this comes at a time Ghanaians are dying in darkness-Dumsor Dumsor.
