Proof that even the most bizarre amongst us can find someone to love; Lady Gaga has announced her engagement and impending marriage to actor Taylor Kinney.

The two have been dating since 2011, except for a brief split in May 2012. They met on the set of a Gaga’s music video for ‘You and I’, which featured the two of them in some racy shots, some of which included Gaga wearing a wedding dress.

The rumours about the possible engagement had been flowing for a while, until Gaga confirmed it on Instagram on Monday with a picture of her ring finger with the ring on it. Kinney apparently popped the question on Valentine’s Day.

She captioned the pic of the heart shaped ring “He gave me his heart on Valentine’s day, and I said YES!”

Gaga, of course, is one of the most eccentric artists out there. Kinney is a mainstay on Chicago Fire, and also appeared in 2013 classic ‘Zero Dark Thirty’
