The Presbyterian Church in the USA would formally approve of gay marriages after a New Jersey district’s approval clinched the vote in favour of approval. This is a debate that had been going on for a while and has finally received the needed approval from the church.
The Presbyterian Church, with 1.8m members, is the largest Protestant church in the US to approve gay marriage, according to the BBC.
However whilst approving it, the church still refuses to officiate one. The policy in parts read…
“Marriage involves a unique commitment between two people, traditionally a man and a woman, to love and support each other for the rest of their lives”
The policy comes into effect on June 21, 2015.

Their almighty god with all its power hasn’t been able to stop gay people from appearing on earth. They did that to books and people who thought different in the middle ages. Unfortunately for most Ghanaian Christians the middle ages never left us. We are not concerned with our hopeless politicians who are failing to deliver, we are not concerned with all the irresponsible men impregnating young girls all over Ghana, we’re not concerned with the fact that everything we import is from China- even toothpicks. What matters most to us are ‘gays’. I don’t hate gays…but i wouldn’t want my child to turn out to be one, neither would i give my child to be adopted by gay parents or help gay couple in anyway to have kids
Not to worry, most gay people/ lesbians have biological kids of their own so you don’t have to worry about them coming for your child. As for me, after seeing someone I know go through the foster care system, I would much prefer for my child to go to a loving gay couple than to be left to rot in the system. Gay people are human beings just like you- they don’t bite. At the end of the day, God made & loves us all- gay or straight, we’re all human beings
Oh charley, don’t even waste your breath because anyone who can say that ‘nature understands that’ evidently has very little understanding of sexuality whatsoever. As for the God made Adam & Eve song they sing daily lol- so where does that leave intersex persons (children born with both male & female features who used to be called ‘hermaphrodite’). Whats really deep to me is how shallow our conversations be around the issue of homosexuality. WE have so much to overstand about ourselves. we are all trained in schools by folk that ommit what they want from our learning in every aspect of life. We have so many things that are affecting our hormonal state and our physical state in general.
-a flood of hormones in the water here in the u.s. (unfiltered in our water systems
-gender changing pesticides in our food crops
-medications that are of hormonal content for women when breastfeeding
-and who knows what else can and does effect us.
i know so many brothers and sisters that have been molested or raped while youth even by their own biological parents. this is a silent epidemic in our community that needs to creatively dealt with. many of those youth are turned out and dont know what to do with themselves afterwards and many will go to their grave saying they were born like this before saying their father or mother or man next door handled them.
i worked in the prisons, first in juvenile hall as queen mentioned many of the youth were repetitively raped in group homes before even getting to the locked up facility where they learned new and more harmful treatment on them and to become perpetraters of .
Speaking of relligion…oh loawrd the church..one of the most prominent proponents of rape and molestation young and old. In africa is it well known that the missionaries where in africa without women. many of them coming from homosexually active communities.
