Kendrick Lamar recently released his second studio album ‘To Pimp A Butterfly’ The album has been doing well enough; a perfect blend of the Compton rapper’s impressive lyrical dexterity and perceptive awareness of social issues.

But that’s the not the only accomplishment he’s achieved lately. Unlike most other celebrities whose relationships can barely last a week, K.Dot’s been dating the same girl for the past 10 years- his high school sweetheart Whitney Alford.

According to Billboard, the ‘King Kunta’ MC was on Power 105’s The Breakfast Club. When asked whether rumours of his engagement were true, he replied in the affirmative.

“Yeah, definitely; I’m loyal to the soil. At the end of the day, you want to always have real people around you, period- whether male or female.

Kendrick recognises she’s been with him from day one, way before he was the Kendrick Lamar everyone knows now. He respects that, and we do too.
