WTF: New ISIS Laws Would See Citizens Jailed For Trivial Reasons Such As Wearing Skinny Jeans And Having Music On your Phone

In the grand scale of atrocities ISIS has committed this seems quite trivial, but their continued clampdown on freedom of expression in any form, all while hiding behind religious principles really bears close scrutiny.

ISIS has gained worldwide notoriety since their inception, and has attained strengths far outstripping any seen by a terrorist organisation. In control of large parts of Iraq and Syria, they are de-facto rulers and implement the harsh Sharia in all their controlled territories.

They’ve implemented new laws, which seem harsher than ever. Under the new laws, according to the IBT UK, anyone caught wearing skinny jeans face a prison sentence of ten days.

Other jailable offences include having music on your mobile phone, smoking, or turning up late for prayer.

For violating any of these laws, one faces ten days in prison, after which you would take an ‘Islamic course’. The purpose is to orient you towards their brand of extremist philosophy, and you would not be released until you pass a test they administer at the end of your training.

ISIS plans to establish an Islamic caliphate, a state where Islamic law is the law and Islam the way of life. They abhor any and all Western influence.

During the week, they released pictures of their soldiers burning meat meant for the starving in their cities, for the sole reason that the meat was produced in the USA.

The temptation is to see this people as implementing some extreme form of the tenets of their religion, but that’s simply not true. Per some of the stunts Allah (and God) pulled in the holy books, these people are just par for the course.

And that’s the reason religion is one of the most dangerous forces available to man, and why moving forward it needs to be confined to the past where it belongs.
