It’s increasingly looking like the proliferation of some high profile personalities into the political realm is going to become a trend as we draw closer to election 2016.
Abeiku’s political affiliation has never been a secret, as he was one of several celebrities who campaigned for this government in the last election.
Now, the versatile radio presenter has thrown his hat into the ring for a parliamentary bid, planning to contest the Mfantseman West seat on the ticket of the NDC.
First though, he would have to negotiate the primaries, where he’ll have to beat the incumbent- Central Regional Minister Acquinas Tawiah Mensah.
The news was announced on Peace Fm by the NDC’s Central Regional chairman, Allottey Jacobs.
His announcement comes on the heels of recent announcements by Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, Philipp Addison, and George Andah, all contesting NPP primaries.
am not surprised by his choice. His always interested in politics and of course we all no that he is NDC
