Charter House Vrs Artistes Problems: ‘International Fisherman’ Gasmilla Next To Jump On The Bandwagon

Charter House has been taken kind of a battering lately, and not just from perennial nemesis Shatta Wale. Seems the attacks are coming from all angles and sources these days.

First Sarkodie came after them (justifiably), for using his name and image to advertise a show when no agreement had been reached. Sarkodie, perhaps, should have done a lot more than just air the issue out on twitter, but in his own words he said he has no time to sue.

Then he joined Shatta to organise a beach party on the day of Charter House’s flagship programme, the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.  The ultimate f*** off to Charter House.

Their show flourished, whilst the VGMA’s was a total and complete flop. Sarkodie joining Shatta Wale seems to have shifted the balance of power a bit towards the artiste side.

Now, another artiste coming out with his grievances is Gasmilla. Dubbed the ‘International Fisherman’, Milla is a talented singer cum producer. He has an uncanny ability to carve out an interesting concept, and being a Ga native has the advantage of bringing something different from most of the music out there.

Unfortunately, he is yet to be rewarded for his ingenuity with any awards from Charter House, and even a nomination is something hard for him to come by.

Speaking on Hitz Fm’s Showbiz review, the ‘Telemo’ singer said he feels Charter House is not being fair to him. He feels all his hard work is deliberately being ignored.

“In a way, they have never been fair to me but I am a hard worker, I’m a studio rat but I will keep coming regardless, and a time will come that they won’t have a choice but to give all to me”

This is the correct attitude to take; just keep your head down, keep working hard and when the day comes that the entire country is shouting your name you’ll certainly have to be recognised.

In the interim, he’s going to keep entertaining Ghanaians with his inventive songs and absurd dance moves.

Seriously, if you haven’t seen ‘Telemo’, you’re doing yourself a huge disservice.
