Caitlyn Jenner’s story is all the world can talk about these days; when you consider this news has made Kim’s second pregnancy an afterthought, you realise how much prominence is being allotted to it.

But in the midst of it all, Caitlyn’s mom Esther hadn’t spoken since the transformation. Most of the world seems okay with, but what does the 85 year old who has known her child for most of her life as male have to say about this.

According to her, Caitlyn is beautiful, of which there is no doubt. She also said Caitlyn reminds her of her own granddaughter Samantha, who is Caitlyn’s niece.

She spoke to Access Hollywood.

“She’s beautiful!” Esther said. “I was there last week; well actually, I got home a week and a half ago. And I met Caitlyn. She is… so much more at ease.

You know who she reminds me of, my granddaughter Samantha. There is a lot of Sam!”
As to what she’ll call her daughter, Esther said she’ll stick with Bruce.

“I still have to call him Bruce. His father and I named him that” she explained. “It’s going to be a struggle for me to get used to the change, but happily so… I’m very happy for him – or her!”
