Health Alert: Skinny Jeans, Heels, G-Strings: And Other Lifestyle Choices That Are Disturbing Your Health

Skinny Jeans

There are many things the average, modern, 21st century person does that is seriously detrimental to their health- but they go ahead to do anyway because ‘fashion’ or ‘modernity’.

If you fall into that bracket, well stop. They are many harmful things we rationalise to ourselves aren’t harmful even though we know they are, like heels and corsets; because they are inextricably linked to the ‘desired’ appearance expected of us.

The BBC has gathered some of the risks to our health in this modern environment, and why we must lay them off.

‘Skinny Jeans’

A 35 year old woman had to be cut out of her pair of skinny jeans after her calves ballooned in size.

She had spent hours squatting, and the jeans literally shrinked around her. Doctors believed she contracted something called ‘compartment syndrome’.

This is a painful and serious condition caused by bleeding or swelling within an enclosed bundle of muscles; the calves for this woman. It caused her to be unable to get up, spending several hours lying on the floor.

The Journal of Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Psychiatry recorded twelve of such cases. The solution is to cut down on the skinny jeans, or be very mobile whenever you strap on a pair.

‘Corsets’

Wearing one of these too tightly is a legitimate health hazard, and since the whole point of it is to squeeze your insides you have to watch its usage.

These days’ people would do anything to get some kind of shape, it’s inevitably harmful, according to the health alert.

‘Heels’

High heels have been associated with painful conditions such as ‘corns’ and ‘calluses’. If you do not know what they are, you still do not want to get either condition.

Another side effect is bunions, where the big toe points inward towards other toes. It also increases the pressure on your spine.

So do not wear heels for a prolonged period, as it as serious back conditions. If your job requires that, tough luck; but try and reduce the frequency and intensity of the ones you wear.

‘G-String’

This is known to irritate the skin and cause infection, because they are often too tight. So you might want to restrict the length of time you spend in them.

‘Zip Flies’

If you were wondering where the men’s troubles are, well the zip injury is what you should watch out for. It has been discovered as the most frequent cause of male p*nis injuries, so be careful when zipping up after the loo.

And as anyone who has suffered this mishap before can tell you, you really, really, do not want it happening to you.

‘Ties’

Too tightly wound ties can increase risk of glaucoma, whilst also causing tension in back muscles.

So whilst we know the modern world places just too many expectations on you, you want to stay healthy for as long as possible. So consider some of these health hazards, and stay away from them as often as possible.

Your health cannot afford your ignorance.
