Nigerian comedian Basketmouth has had a very high honour conferred on him with the city of Houston proclaiming July 17th as Basketmouth day.
The ace comedian, who is one of the best on the continent, revealed the news on his Instagram page. It is to honour him for his work in bringing together the Houston community, with its large contingent of Nigerian Americans- together through comedy.
Basketmouth is currently on a world tour, and would touch down in Houston on the 18th, for that leg of his ‘Basketmouth Uncensored’ tour.
Before that day however, the city of Houston would celebrate ‘Basketmouth day’, as proclaimed by their mayor, Annice D. Parker.
This is a noteworthy achievement for the Nigerian comedian. Sadly, it doesn’t look like we are getting anywhere close to that anytime soon. When DKB is supposed to be the funniest you have you must be in some very big trouble.
