Look, 50 Cent is in deep shyt—but to be frank, he is far better than all of us. Dude is just playing smart and if I were him, I would do the same.

50 Cent who filed for Bankruptcy yesterday shared the above photo of him, posing by a small car—with the caption ‘Times are hard out here, lol.’

Not just that, he also said; “I’m not panicking. People love tragedy more than they love good news, no matter how you look at it. The news comes on, and it’s 90 percent tragedy. I have faith in the court systems, I know at points you gotta just relax and go through the process.”

I make decisions to do things based on the position that I’m placed in at points and if I’m consistently being made out to be a target because of my financial situation ….If people actually believe that I wouldn’t be conscious of who I am and protecting myself.”

As we reported earlier on, 50 Cent’s filing for bankruptcy looks like an attempt by 50 Cent not to pay Rick Ross’ Baby Mama-Lastonia Leviston the $5m a Manhattan Supreme Court ordered him to pay to her about three days ago in damages for uploading her s*x t*pe to the internet in 2009.

Last Friday, it emerged that a court ordered the rap star, real name Curtis Jackson to pay Lastonia the above amount; $2.5 million of the sum is for “violating her civil rights for using her image without her permission,” and the other $2.5 million is for “intentional infliction of emotional distress,”—and yesterday, 50 Cent filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

“In court papers filed in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Hartford, Conn., Mr. Jackson reported assets and debts each in the range of $10 million to $50 million,” reports the Wall Street Journal.

On top of this, notes TMZ, “50 lost a court case in which a jury socked him with a $17.2 million judgment over ripping off a headphones design [in 2014]. It’s a breathtaking fall.”

Interestingly, just this May, Forbes estimated 50’s net worth at $155 million, ranking him at No. 4 on the list of the wealthiest hip-hop artists.
