If you thought he was playing around with his new found profession – evangelism – then you got it wrong. Evangelist Kenya, a one-time rap heavy-weight champion and Hiplife artiste has stated that he has no interest in collecting royalties that has accrued from his Hiplife songs; and even if he does, he will give that money to his former manager – Mark Okraku-Mantey.

However, he urged the Ghana Music Rights Organisation (GHAMRO) to give him royalties from his gospel songs.

In an interview with Amanda Jissih on Showbiz Filla (Hitz FM), Lord Kenya said what he’s currently interested in is winning souls for God through evangelism.

According to Lord Kenya, there comes a stage in life where an individual ceases showing interest in certain things; and that’s exactly where he has gotten to.

He also disclosed that the man who managed him when he was a Hiplife artiste – Mark Okraku-Mantey – is the same man who will manage him as a Gospel musician.

Lord Kenya prophesied  that Mark will also become an evangelist soon.
