Nigeria’s Ambassador To The USA Passes Away

The Nigerian Ambassador to the United States, Adebowale Ibidapo Adefuye, has died.

According to Sahara Reporters, Mr. Adefuye, a former History professor died on Thursday at an undisclosed hospital in Washington DC.

The late historian was appointed to his post by former President Goodluck Jonathan in 2010. He was recalled after Muhammadu Buhari took charge, and was waiting to hand over to a new appointee when his untimely demise occurred.

The 68 year old has in the past served as Nigeria’s ambassador to Jamaica, and as a deputy high commissioner to the UK.

May he rest in peace.
