The ability to get people who are aware they’re watching a movie scared out of their minds is a rare and wonderful talent. The greatest horror movies always stay with you for years afterwards.
One of the best at that was Wes Craven. Unfortunately, the 76 year old had died in Los Angeles after succumbing to brain cancer.
He died on Sunday night in his Los Angeles home.
Craven, who brought to the world ‘The Nightmare on Elm Street’ and ‘Scream’, was regarded as one of the top horror movie directors of all time. The ‘Scream’ franchise alone grossed well over $100m in the US.
May he rest in peace.
