Sad News: Former Ghana Coach C.K Gyamfi Passes Away

Coach Charles Kumi Gyamfi, who led the Ghana National Team to win three successive African Cup of Nations trophies, has passed away.

C.K died at the age of 86 at the Cocoa Clinic in Accra on Wednesday morning, September 2, 2015.

He began his football career at Sailors in 1948 and played for other Ghanaian clubs; Ebusua Dwarfs, Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak.

C.K Gyamfi became the first African player to play in Germany, when he joined Fortuna Düsseldorf in 1960.

  1. Now there is going to be accolades upon accolades, titles upon titles etc, typical ignorance and hypocritical nature of Ghanaians. we dont honor and celebrate our Heroes whiles they are alive. Lets ask ourselves what did the Nation give back to this man in return of his sacrifice for the nation?
