The top dog in Ghana football, Kwesi Nyantakyi was relieved  of the colossal sum of $600,000 by a fellow businessman after he told him he could help him secure a construction contract.

The businessman, Joseph Amoah, took the cash but failed to secure the contract, leading to a criminal case being brought against him. The case is currently ongoing at the commercial court in Accra.

According to various reports, the businessman is a long time associate of the GFA capo and secures contracts for them. The reports indicate Joe goes through the tendering process whilst Nyantakyi provides the cash.

Amoah is believed to have taken the $600,000 to win a contract at the Ministry of Works and Housing. After failing in his bid, he also did not refund the money, leading to his arrest last week.

Investigations continue into the Ghc 2million case.
