Sandra Ankobia is to Be Blamed for Nana Aba Anamoah’s Suspension by Tv3

The Nana Aba Anamoah’s social media theft and lies which undeniably were to score her high social standing and put her up there as a ‘ballin’ boss chick have been well dissected by the Editor of GhanaCelebrities.Com, Chris-Vincent Agyapong Febiri in an article titled “Nana Aba Anamoah’s Busted Photoshop Lie is Just A Tiny Square of the Ghanaian Celebrity Prevarication Culture

In the above article, Chris-Vincent concedes that “Celebrity Ghanaian TV Presenter and Sports enthusiast-Nana Aba Anamoah opened a floodgate of self-mockery on social media on the back of the usual celebrity fabrication, intended to elevate her social standing in the eyes of her fans and whoever the watchers would be.”

Following the above, Nana Aba Anamoah has been suspended by TV3 and the same author in another excellent piece ‘CHRIS-VINCENT Writes: Nana Aba Anamoah & TV3 | A Deserving Suspension or A Far-Fetched Reaction?’ looked at whether the suspension was appropriate or outstretched, critically playing it alongside other international happenings of such sort.

The above pieces are brilliant but what I’ve not come across anywhere is what could have influenced Nana Aba Anamoah’s conduct—to be frank, I wouldn’t buy into the suggestions that she is stupid and that’s why she did what has now become her biggest headache.

The truth is, the pressures are unbearable. These people on TV are under intense pressure from the inside and outside world to live a certain life, to portray themselves a certain way and when they cannot meet what they falsely consider as fans’ expectation, they turn to dubious means to score the needed points.

For me, this is exactly what Nana Aba Anamoah did—she could not compete with those within reach, especially Sandra Ankobiah who used to be one of her co-hosts on TV3.

When you have Sandra Ankobiah comfortably flying everywhere to the world, ballin’ like she is Queen Elizabeth’s only daughter and making appearances at the Grand Prix when she does not even care about Formula 1—then you begin to look like a loser. Especially, when you talk so much about Manchester United and yet you have not even gone to Old Trafford to see any of their matches, not even the unimportant ones.

Trust me, if you were in Nana Aba Anamoah’s shoes, you would have considered doing what she did and if you could get away with it, you wouldn’t hesitate to jump at it.

Count the number of times Sandra Ankobiah travels in a year and measure it with Nana Aba Anamoah, who cannot probably even afford to do Accra-Lagos three times a year. That’s deeply sad so what do we expect home girl to do?

She also wants the social media praises—and she wants to hear fans say, ‘you are living large.’

What I am trying to say is, there are countless holes pouring out pressure on folks like Nana Aba Anamoah and close to home is Sandra Ankobiah who unknowingly continues to mount pressure on several of these female industry persons, pushing them to act crazy—and do all manner of things to live the high life on social media.

Sandra Ankobiah is the Queen of the social media show off box—and that’s exactly what Nana Aba Anamoah attempted to do but because she couldn’t really afford it, she had to pull a quick one which has fetched her unexpected troubles.

So for me, we have to blame folks like Sandra Ankobiah for what just happened to Nana Aba Anamoah—these people are putting their colleagues under unbearable pressure and in their bid to keep up, they’ve turn to cutting corners…

Sandra, why don’t you kindly buy some free Manchester United tickets for Nana Aba Anamoah so she can go to Old Trafford in flesh, watch a match and take some cool pictures—her dream?

  1. This is so true: pressure will kill these girls. Sandra is making them comfortable so they want to live up to her when they can’t afford it. Photoshop becomes the easy and achievable way out lol

  2. I really don’t see how Sandra is to blame for Nana Aba’s predicament. Isn’t she the sassy, brassy, supercool tv3 anchor? She should know better than cheaply cut corners to maintain a certain status quo.
As for Sandra, it is still mysterious how she can afford her planes, jets and automobile lifestyle.

  3. Can I just ask a question.. How does sitting in the top row at old Trafford highlight the “balling life”.. If anything you are cheap.. Those tickets at it priciest cos less than £50… Think this goes back to the perception of Ghanaians being inferior to anything foreign

  4. I dont know how some people’s thinking cap is like. Dig deep and make some good investigation before you come out to say certain things unless of course you want people to come out and say stuff without puting thier thinking caps on so you can laugh. nana aba has been like that since she joined TV3. competing with her peers thinking she is the one on top, bragging about the men she goes out with, who buys her what to the point of lieing about the house rented for her whilst she was living with the mum in their uncompleted building, the car someone had bought for her meanwhile she had borrowed money and added 2 different men’s money to partly pay for the car. she goes to the extent of asking her female friend journalists the kind of men they go out with as though she is in competition with them. she has been like that even waaaayyy before she got to know Sandra. and even if lets say sandra has been living an envious life is it by force to copy her or live the life that sandra is living? she has always been a liar and a brag, its part of her and it has finally landed her to where she is, i dont think she has any remorse if she does, then she should learn from it

    • Hmm people always have stories about others when they are down. Maybe you should have added that she is good at her job too! That, you cannot take from her!

      • i do not see anything good about what she does unless you are not a journalist and not matured yourself. any good journalist will see her work as crap but she might have improved. I have seen her make a lot of mistakes on screen and to be frank, I do not watch TV3 anymore because of her. we have very good ones – gifty anti to name a few. please spare me, we are not even talking about her work but her behaviour.
