Ofori Amponsah has been all over the airwaves in recent times. The man who announced in 2012 his departure from secularism into a new life as a man of God seems to have regressed; or backslid as Christians term it.

Everyone bought his changed story, until recently when he released a song with Sarkodie. The action, which earned him the moniker ‘Pastor Alewa’, and has dominated discussions as everyone tries to digest where he really stands now.

One man uniquely positioned to comment on this is Lord Kenya, who like Ofori Amponsah used to be a thorough man of the world. His own conversion was pretty surprising but he at least has remained consistent since.

Commenting on the issue, the deeply pained Kenya pled with his colleague to return to the fold. He said he should not listen to what people are saying, but that the only person who matters is the Lord who called them to do his work.

He also made it pretty clear that as he well knows, there would be a judgement one day…so he needs to come back.

He ended with a prayer for his plagued colleague, to right whatever has gone wrong.
