‘Catch them young and they shall be yours forever,’ reads a popularly slogan—and ostensibly, Nigerian singer and songwriter, 2face Idibia took a cue from it.

Wife of the celebrated music star, Annie Idibia has disclosed that she met 2face at the age of 15 when the musician was a just a fresh faced 24 year old.

The mother of two spilt the beans in 2face’s biography titled ‘ The Very Good Bad Guy’.

According to her, 2face’s behavior has remained unchangeable throughout the period they have been together.

Annie Idibia in her tribute, described her husband as so full of life, so much energy and always optimistic about life.

“The moment our eyes met at Even Ezra Studios many years ago, I knew you were the one for me and I for you. Innocent is an extraordinary being. It really seems like yesterday, (can’t believe he is 40 already) he was 24 and I was 15. And I still see the same man when I look at him. So full of life. So much energy. He is always so optimistic about life. He is never afraid of the next day with the little or nothing he had,” she wrote.

2face and Annie Idibia married in Lagos, Nigeria on 2 May 2012, in a private ceremony. The lovebirds had their traditional wedding on 8 March 2013 in Eket, Akwa-Ibom State Nigeria—which was followed by their white wedding in Dubai, on Saturday 23 March 2013.
