20 Year Old Arrested For Creating Very Funny Meme With Vodafone ‘Yee Twi Ko’ Scratch Cards- How About They Do Their Real Jobs And Stop Persecuting Kids?

This is simply unbelievable. This is all we know in this country, isn’t it? Making mountains out of molehills and leaving the real job, satisfying your damn customers- undone.

A 20 year old IT expert, identified as Kwadwo Amakye, has been arrested for ‘defaming’ a Vodafone scratch card. Amakye edited the try again in the Yee Twi Ko scratch card to make it read ‘Kwasia, s3 wop3 sika adi’.

The inscription means ; ‘fool, were you expecting to win some money?’ Or something to that effect, my Twi has never been any good.

So creating a funny meme- and you must admit its damn funny; gets you arrested now? What happened to just having a little fun? Defamed the Vodafone brand- what a joke!

I spend like crazy to maintain my Vodafone modem and two other lines, and ever since they started this promo I have bought countless scratch cards only to be greeted with ‘try again’. Seeing that meme created by this guy made me laugh a hell of a lot more than Vodafone has ever managed to since I started using their network a few months ago.

According to Starr, the 20 year old is facing two charges of forgery of document and the publication of false news. He was arrested in Takoradi but has been transferred to the Airport Police who are handling the case.

The suspect said he created the image and a joke, and that it went viral once he shared in online. Vodafone claims the picture has marred the brand’s image, and that the losses suffered is difficult to quantify.

I say they should grow a pair and launch a real promotion that awards majority of their customers. What is an anniversary celebration if noone hardly ever wins anything anyway?

If my choices were not between the devil and the deep blue sea, I’d probably be off this network in a jiffy. Fix your internet speed and leave the kid alone; I can hardly stream one full football game without having to deal with ‘scratches’

  1. ah but vodafone paa. what is this nonsense? you telling me to try again is indirectly telling me ‘kwasia s3 wo p3 sika adi”. vodafone must find better things to do like perfecting their poor quality network. mchewwww
