Charlie Sheen announced his HIV positive status to a nonplussed world who were mostly wondering, ‘how did this guy go so long before this actually happened?’

That was the extent of Charlie’s debauched lifestyle. And like everything else, it seems Charlie is not handling this well either. He kept the condition to himself for years, and actually had s*x with other people, knowingly endangering them.

Former basketball player Magic Johnson, however, is hoping Sheen can put that behind him and put his celebrity to good use.

Johnson himself revealed he was HIV positive in 1991, and has been helping combat the ailment ever since. His Magic Johnson Foundation works with millions of infected people worldwide.

Johnson sent a tweet commiserating with the actor on his diagnosis- but then called on him to join forces to help raise awareness and combat the disease.

Sheen certainly has the charisma, and the dough- but to carry out any sort of selfless act is totally beyond his capabilities.
