Getting yourself healed after you lose someone dear to your heart to the icy hands of death is really difficult.

Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Livingstone Etse Satekla popularly known as Stonebwoy, has revealed how he once absent-mindedly called his mother’s phone line—before it cruelly dawned on him that she has passed away.

The reigning artiste of the year at the 2015 VGMA, who was devastated about the death of his beloved mother, told Joy FM’s Super Morning Show host Kojo Yankson in an interview on Thursday that relinquishing the memories of his mum is something he cannot do.

“You just reminded me of the fact that sometimes I pick my phone and dial her number and I am like oh sorry… ‘she is no more'”.

“She was my paddy but we never really get to meet often” he said and explained that it was mostly because he was always out of town working.

Madam Catherine A. Satekla, who was admitted at the 37 Military Hospital for a short illness- passed away on Wednesday, the 29th day of July this year.

Reacting on the sad news for the first time, Stonebwoy wrote on his twitter page: “MAMA!!! Only Jah knows.”
