Simon Cowell Predicts that Ghana’s Reggie and Bollie Formerly ‘Menn on Point’ Will Reach the X Factor Final As They Survive ANOTHER Week

On Sunday, Ghana’s Reggie and Bollie survived another public vote, as they were put through to the semi finals next Saturday.

It seems Simon Cowell’s prediction last week that the energetic duo would go all the way to the final is looking more likely than ever, as they defied the odds to beat both Lauren Murray and 4th Impact from landing in the bottom two.

Whilst the musicians have been criticised in the past for their vocals, it was their performance skills that once again had the room on their feet, with Cheryl Fernandez-Versini even jumping in at the end to perform.

Although the X Factor judge faced somewhat of a backlash for her ‘cringeworthy’ dance moves, it didn’t stop the public support flooding in for Reggie and Bollie’s performance of Silento’s Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae).

The week before, the duo performed a colourful mash up of Ghanaian-born musician Fuse ODG’s Dangerous Love and Walk the Moon’s Shut Up and Dance. At the end of the track, Simon Cowell joined his colleagues and the cheering crowd for a standing ovation, declaring “WOW”. And even FuseODG gave the musicians his seal of approval, tweeting:

Whilst last week, Reggie and Bollie were still very much regarded as the underdogs of the competition, their infectious energy and public support has now put them as the firm favourite after Louisa Johnson.

Last week the Telegraph wrote:

“After four weeks of live shows, Reggie ‘N’ Bollie aren’t just defying the odds, they’re triumphing. Simon Cowell believes they’ll be in the final, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini wants to rename The X Factor “The Reggie ‘N’ Bollie Show” and the public have voted in enough numbers to keep the Ghanaian duo out of the bottom three each week. Just how far can they go?”

And the Mirror also sees a future for the duo, writing after Saturdays live show:

Reggie n Bollie could actually take the charts by storm. They are incredibly current and fun loving. But they are also amazing performers and tonight was no different. With their insanely cute kids on stage, they just do what they do best…”
Whilst we’re still not convinced that Reggie and Bollie will take the X Factor crown, there’s no denying that they’ve become one of the most memorable acts of the series, and with the public behind them there’s no limit to where they might go.
