Rapper Curtis Jackson has had appreciable success on the big screen, both as an actor and recently as a producer/director of the phenomenal hit series ‘Power’.

Building on those talents, he is now producing a new comedy for Fox. The series is titled ‘My Friend 50’, and follows a member of the rapper’s entourage.

Known as Amanda Kramer, she is a young girl who is trying to find her way in the world, and believes “joining 50 Cent’s entourage is the answer to all her problems,”, according to Billboard.

50, who will make occasional appearances in the show as himself; is teaming up with Will Packer to produce the comedy. The project is a collaboration between Packer’s Will Packer Productions, Jackson’s G-Unit Film & Television, and Universal Television.
