The ‘Thinking out Loud” hit maker announced on his Instagram account that he was taking a break from social media by saying “taking the opportunity of not having to be anywhere… to travel the world”.

With 16 million Twitter followers and 5.5 million Instagram followers, Ed Sheeran announced to his fans that his third album is “on its way “and is the best thing I have made thus far”.

His second album which was nominated for Album of the year at the Grammys also topped the chart in the US, UK and Australia. Before his final show on his world tour in New Zealand, he tweeted that he was “buggering off for a while”.

Ed Sheeran is currently working on his own label Gingerbread Man Records and has chart-topping artistes such as Jamie Lawson and Foy Vance.
