With the number of custody battles always going on between divorced couples in the West, children would basically go extinct if every one of them decided to follow the actions of this obviously deranged man.

And if you want to keep the children, killing them kind of defeats that purpose, doesn’t it?

A man in Takoradi is on the run after he allegedly set his three children on fire at Amanful, a suburb of Takoradi in the Western Region of Ghana.

Starrfmonline reports that the mother of one of the kids, the other two were from a previous union, was locked in a battle with the man to determine who would keep the kids.

The mom, Sadia Nimatu, said she had left their shared residence for her father’s house after one of their disagreements, but on her return could not find the man but rather the children burnt to death.

She told Starr News’ correspondent that he had threatened on several occasions in the past to burn the children if she ever thought of taking them away from him.

The three kids included Sadia’s two and a half year old daughter and two older kids from a different mother.

The matter has been reported to the police, whilst the suspect remains on the run.
