Game Of Thrones Adjudged Most Pirated TV Show Of 2015- Picks Accolade For Fourth Year In A Row

The medieval workings of Westeros are enough to put the most skilled political operative of this day and age to shame, making it no wonder that Thrones continues to fascinate people the world over.

I mean, Barack Obama and Angela Merkel vrs Littlefinger and Varys? B**ch, please.

For the fourth time in four years, Torrent Freak has adjudged the show the most pirated of the year.

The show was illegally downloaded over 14.4m times this season, more than double the 6.9m total of second placed ‘The Walking Dead’.

Earlier in the year, the episode ‘Kill The Boy’ also picked another record, becoming the all time most shared file on the torrent site, with 258,131 peers sharing the file simultaneously.

Thrones has climbed to the top of the zeitgeist in its five years on air, and it is not going anywhere anytime soon. Season 6 returns on HBO in April.
