Earlier today, GhanaCelebrities.Com reported that legendary Ghanaian musician-Amakye Dede was involved in a fatal car accident which killed his manager-Isaac Yeboah on the spot at Bonsu Junction, near Paradise.
From our social media comments, many assumed those involved in the accident were travelling when when the accident happened—but the fact this, they were parked by the road side when a car reportedly lost it brakes and ran into the stationed car of Amakye Dede and others by the roadside.
That’s scary and the gruesomeness can’t be imagined.
It has come to light that, the legendary musician was in the stationed car by the side of the road, changing his clothes to perform at a gig—while his manager who died and his bodyguard waited outside.
So a rough sketch of what happened would be like this; the moving car hit those standing outside and ran into the parked car with Amakye Dede inside.
Of course the injuries and death have already happened but considering Amakye Dede’s celebrity status or musical standing, why should such an artiste be changing himself by the roadside—perhaps, this would not have happened if such was not the arrangement.
It’s deeply sad to have lost someone in this. However, our celebrities, especially those of higher status ought to demand proper arrangements whenever they are called upon to make an appearance or perform at an event.
Who changes himself in a car these days? Yet, that’s what we are told Amakye Dede was doing.
