Ohemaa Mercy believes her primary mission is to win souls for Christ, but no one can do that without first putting food on the table.
The musician and her manager-husband, Isaac Twum Ampofo, appeared on Onua Fm in Accra to talk about several topics. Whilst talking about her charges for shows, Mr Twum-Ampofo revealed the cost.
“It is not less than Gh15,000. We have one of the best 11 piece man band in the country. We’ve taken them as workers so we pay what is due them. We’ve a team that works on the brand Ohemaa Mercy and we pay them monthly as well. Aside these people, we have people who work on her 24/7 to make sure she gives out good music, great performances.” her manager-cum-husband revealed.
Ohemaa Mercy, for her part, acknowledged the charges- whilst adding that despite all these, they sometimes play for free to minister the gospel.
“The amazing part of it is that, at times I do not charge for my performances but I sacrifice. There are so many churches that I have sacrificed to do it for them because of directions from God.” she added.
“So it is not all shows that I charge before I mount stage to perform. When it is a big event and a paid program… [that] is what we charge”.
