Star Wars: The Force Awakens on its own is breaking enough records, but it is has now pushed one of its stars to break an individual record.
Samuel L. Jackson has long been known as the highest grossing movie star of all time, having appeared in 68 movies that have grossed over $4.6bn combined. However, the success of Star Wars has pushed another all time star to dethrone Mr Jackson.
Harrison Ford, who has starred in 41 movies total, has now grossed in excess of $4.7bn, handing him the top spot. All four Star Wars appearances have grossed significantly, as well as other appearances in franchises such as Indiana Jones.
Other actors on the all time list include Tom Hanks, Morgan Freedom, and Eddie Murphy.
