Former England footballer-Gary Lineker and his wife Danielle have reportedly filed for divorce because Danielle fears the footballer is too old to start a family with her.
Gary Lineker, 55, and his 36-year-old wife have for almost a year lived separate lives and a formal decree nisi will on Wednesday (today) morning end their six-year marriage, says The Sun.
It was a smooth divorce and despite Lineker’s reported £20 million fortune, they used a government website that costs around £400 for the proceedings.
Lineker took to twitter to confirm the split on Twitter, saying, he and Danielle would “remain very close and the greatest of friends.”
Danielle replied on twitter, saying, she would “cherish” her eight years with Lineker.
