Wisa Greid, the name that most people did not know before December 2015, and which everyone knows at this moment.
He definitely had one of the biggest hits of the year, ‘Ekiki Me’; but before his Decemba 2 Rememba stunt, people only knew the song and not the artiste. Now they know both.
On the back of that popularity, Wisa believes he should be adjudged ‘Best New Artiste’ at the 2016 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
On his pending criminal case, Wisa believes that should have no effect on the awards- one has nothing to do with the other.
He spoke to Graphic Showbiz.
“My legal issue has no connection with the upcoming VGMA or anything of that sort, so let’s just wait and see what happens.” He said.
“It will be very cool if I am nominated. I know I deserve the award,”
Wisa is currently embroiled in the legal struggle emanating from his stupid (or genius) idea to drop his pants on stage and show everyone his dingdong. His lawyer has abandoned him due to money, and he is due back in court on February 5.
