Amakye Dede just recuperated from his woes after surviving a traumatising accident, but he now has to deal with an investigation after national security turned their eyes on him.
The singer in the past passed comments to the effect that indigenes of Agogo should acquire weapons to protect their lands from Fulani herdsmen, who have become a menace in the town.
His comments attracted the attention of the National Security apparatus, who invited the singer to interrogate him on the security implications on his comments.
“I was invited to national security and questioned on that…my crime was that I made an appeal that people with guns, bullets etc should supply us some so we would fight our battle and that led to my invitation by the national security,” he said on Adom Fm after his questioning.
Amakye Dede, an indigene of Asante Akyem Agogo, bemoaned the failure of police authorities to curb the menace of Fulani herdsmen in their town. Clashes between the indigenes and the herdsmen has led to several deaths in the past, and it is just one flashpoint of the many in the country.
