Of course, we have decided to place these obviously backwards individuals like Owusu Bempah and Obinim on pedestals because they are ‘men of God’ therefore this is what we reap.
Rev Owusu Bempah, head pastor of the Glorious Word Ministry International, has gotten himself into another public battle with professional spiritualist ‘Kwaku Bonsam’.
In a raging interview on Okay Fm, Bempah hurled all sorts of expletives at Bonsam, repeatedly threatening to kill him in all manner of creative ways. Bonsam’s crime- he apparently pointed out that some of this ‘man of God’s’ prophecies are so straightforward, anyone can predict them.
“Kwaku Bonsam, I want to tell you that you are not sensible. I am not like those foolish pastors who come to you. You face is like an animal” the enraged preacher said on Accra based Okay Fm.
“You are mad. Let us forget about the military, let us forget the police and the courts; I would kill you: a madman like you. How dare you mention my name? If you had someone like me in your family wouldn’t you have been glad?” he queried
“I will cut your head…if you are a man meet me at Okay FM right now. If you are a man, come and meet me,” he boasted.
How is this guy a pastor again? Hell, why is he a free man after making such public threats on someone’s life? Or the police are waiting for Kwaku Bonsam to die for real before they realise they have to do their jobs?

Somewhat surprisingly, Bonsam was rather the calmer one when he was interviewed. According to him, he has grown out of that time when he went hard on everyone who crossed him.
“In the past, I would have gotten angry and also insulted him in reply just to prove that I am a big boy and I do not fear him and I also know how to insult. But I am growing and becoming wiser and more tolerant. These days I always pray to God to help me so that I do not become arrogant because [it] can lead to my fall.
“I am surprised a Christian pastor would behave this way on radio. Tikese, the host of the show, is my witness. I did not insult Owusu Bempah. I did not show him any disrespect and when he was insulting me I did not reply.
“I will write an open letter to Owusu Bempah soon to share a few lessons with him about life, humility and how Christian leaders can shape or destroy society by the way they behave.” He continued

Owusu Bempah has been in the news a lot since the turn of the year, making prophesies after prophesies for 2016. Bonsam had expressed his view that some of his predications, like saying an MP would die this year, are so vague that anyone can predict them. Obviously, the preacher did not take it well.
