3. Avoid petrochemicals and products made from inorganic crops
The by-products of petroleum are big money-making factors in the beauty industry. They are used in the form of coal tar to make scalp treatment shampoos and emollient in face creams. The scary part of looking good from using your face cream and screaming of its miraculous properties to all your friends is that these ingredients contain cancer causing contaminations.
Do you remember how environmentally unfriendly petrol is? All the pollution from vehicles’ exhaust pipes and all the nausea that comes with it? Now look on your labels and see if you find paraffin, petrolatum or mineral oil.
These are relatives of all that exhaust fumes from cars that rile up your system. Again, use products from crops (that is if you use plant based products) that are grown without too much help from synthetic fertilisers. Ghana has not gotten to the point of widespread organic crop farming and so it is understandable if you cannot avoid using fertilizer aided crop products.
