UK High Commissioner To Ghana Praises Ghana Police For Their Help In Arresting Arthur Simpson-Kent

The UK High Commissioner to Ghana, Jon Benjamin, has congratulated Ghanaian authorities for the help in the capture and extradition of suspected murderer, Arthur Simpson-Kent.
Simpson-Kent, the UK man who is suspected of killing his wife, former Eastenders actress Sian Blake, and their two children, was extradited out of Ghana on Thursday, February 11, and was set to be charged in the UK on Friday.
Officials took custody of the suspect after he touched down at Heathrow, and he was booked for an appearance at Westminster Magistrates’ Court.
Writing on his twitter account, Benjamin noted the professional help that was provided for the UK in the search for the suspect. He expressed the UK’s gratitude, describing the assistance they received as ‘quick and professional’.
Simpson-Kent was arrested hiding out in the Western Region in January, after fleeing to Ghana to evade arrest. Local police, with some assistance from Interpol, tracked him to his hideout and arrested him.
He was processed for court, after which he was sent on his way back to the UK.
Kent faces three counts of murder, after the bodies of his girlfriend, Sian Blake, 43, a former Eastenders actress and their two children, Zachary, eight, and Amon, four- were found buried in shallow graves in the backyard of their home in Kent.
