Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp A Butterfly was an instant hit, leading him to five Grammy awards in the best year of his career so far.
The rapper has in the past revealed there was so much material he had that didn’t make the cut, and whilst he has performed some of those, fans have resigned themselves to never hearing that material.
But in a pleasant surprise for fans of the Compton rapper’s music, he dropped much of that material in a surprise album Friday morning. The album, consisting of eight untitled songs, he has christened ‘Untitled Unmastered’
The album is available on all streaming services, and features cameos from Cee Lo Green and Alicia Keys’ five year old son, Egypt.
Lamar went home with five awards from this year’s Grammy night, including best rap album for TPAB.
