Black Stars midfielder Kevin Prince Boateng is set to leave Italian giants A.C Milan, just six months after rejoining the club from Schalke 04.
Boateng signed for the club he had represented earlier in his career this past January, handed a six month contract. The contract was subject to renewal depending on performance, and it seems so far he has failed to convince the club’s top hierarchy.
Boateng has played seven games for Milan since joining in January, but all coming from the bench. He scored his only goal in the game against Fiorentina, which the Rossoneri won 2-0.
According to Italian daily Corriere dello Sport, Boateng would be one of four players who would be let go in the summer. The other three includes Ghanaian born-Italian Mario Balotelli, French defender Phillipe Mexes and Spanish goalie Diego Lopez.
Boateng previously played for Milan between 2010 and 2013, winning the 2011 Italian league and Super Cup. He was kicked out of the Black Stars squad during the 2014 world cup, and hasn’t turned out for Ghana since.
