Yaw Siki Lied About The Reason He Turned Down My Offer Of Assistance – Sonnie Badu

Sonnie Badu says Yaw Siki has been lying to Ghanaians by pretending he refused his offer of assistance based on biblical principles.
According to the UK based singer, Yaw Siki turned down the money because he couldn’t answer basic questions put to him by his PR when they contacted him to help him.
Badu, in a post on Instagram, said that Siki was asked questions such as who his spiritual father was and which church he was attending, a routine procedure. But he claims the former hiplife artiste got offended and said the questions felt like ‘he was applying for a loan’.
Yaw Siki, who has been struggling with finances since leaving a secular lifestyle for one as a preacher, rejected an offer of help from Sonnie Badu.
He said he’s rejecting the offer because Badu made it public, which runs contrary to Jesus’ teaching that good should be done without trumpeting it in public.
Yaw Siki turned to Christ after surviving a horrific accident a few years ago, and has recently been speaking out about how becoming a preacher has led to many friends abandoning him, meaning he can barely get by these days.
“I’m not saying that it was his intention to get praises for the intended act but it wasn’t right to make it known to everyone.” He told Graphic Showbiz.
“If he truly wanted to assist, he could have contacted me first without making it public. I’m not in support of that because my Christian beliefs are against that so upon careful consideration, I had to turn down the offer,”

I am actually getting a bit worked out by this. The truth of the matter is the young man started getting offended when my PR started asking him questions to get to know him. Like who his spiritual father is, would he like to go to any Bible school ? What church does he belong to, now these are standard questions we normally ask because we believe that even though you have a calling you have to be directed. After my PR Spoke to him he did say he would get back to us. Only for us to hear it on the radio, when he was asked by my PR again why he said that on radio he answered and said he felt the questions where as though he was applying for a loan .. Now I love the youthful seal but being in ministry for many years you will get to the point where those who pretend to lead you on will leave you because you have now become a burden on them … Now I officially close this chapter and focus on more orphans and widows as we have been doing already ..
