Black Stars deputy captain Andre Ayew ‘Dede’, has been ruled out for two weeks after picking up an ankle injury with club side Swansea.
Ayew missed the weekend’s game against Bournemouth, and manager Alan Curtis revealed his knock should keep him out of action for up to a fortnight.
That puts Andre at risk of missing Ghana’s upcoming crucial African Cup qualifier against Mozambique on March 24.
However, Captain Asamoah Gyan would likely return for the Stars, after he made a return for his Chinese side Shanghai SIPG over the weekend. Gyan’s return would be a boost to coach Avram Grant’s plans.
The Israeli, who has taken the Black Stars job as more of a vacation opportunity, would be expected to name his squad in the coming days. Local reports indicate Adam Kwarasey could be making a return to the side.
