Amanda Acquah, wife of Black Stars midfielder Afriyie Acquah, has rendered an unqualified apology to his ex husband Kennedy Agyapong, popularly known as Kenpong for her lose comments few months ago, attributing her unfortunate comments to anger and ill- advice from bad association with friends.
Like the biblical prodigal son, she visited the Airport residence of the former Asante Kotoko board member Sunday evening to apologize for dragging his name in the mud.
She said in an interview that “I am here to apologize for what happened, all the things I said were not true. He doesn’t deserve those insults. I feel so proud of our son now because of how he has taken good care of him.”
Amanda further stated that it was immaturity on her part to have done such a thing. “I am very sorry and I mean it from the bottom of my heart,” she added.
According to her, she could have apologized on phone but decided to come down to Ghana and do so in person for the world to know how serious she is.
“Everybody knows he is hardworking and not into drugs like I pointed out. I have been worried since the tape leaked because none of the things I said  were true. He should consider our son and forgive me,” Amanda said
Kenpong, after listening to her said in plain words, “l have forgiven you, I have nothing against you.”
