Donald J. Trump just might be elected the next President of the US, but T.I clearly doesn’t care for that very much.
The rapper, born Clifford Harris Jnr, has ripped into the Republican front runner for President for his violent rhetoric. Donald Trump has, on numerous occasions, told fans that if they get in trouble for assaulting protesters, he would take care of their legal fees.
T.I, who was interviewed by TMZ after arriving at Los Angeles International Airport, told the interviewer that Trump’s actions are no different from what organised crime bosses often do.
“If I stand on a certain platform, and I use my money and my influence to tell all the people who follow me, ‘go and hurt those people, I will pay your legal fees. I will take care of you. If you do this for me, I will make sure that you’re straightened out’.
“If I do that, that is no different than how they view the leader of some of the organized crime syndicates, so what he is doing is really illegal.”
T.I later said that anyone who supports the Donald’s actions should steer clear of his music.
“If you support all of [Tump’s] actions,” he said. “I don’t want you buying my album.”
Trump continues to lead the Republican race for President, despite strident opposition from the party he’s leading, and despite using language that at different times tends to be either racist, bigoted or both. Protestors being roughed up at his events are nothing new, always racial or religious minorities.
