ISIS Claims Responsibility For Brussels Terrorist Attacks

The Islamic State terrorist group (ISIS, ISIL, IS) has claimed responsibility for the deadly terrorist attacks that hit the Belgian capital of Brussels early Tuesday.
In a press release in English, the group claimed responsibility for the deadly attacks which has so far claimed over thirty lives and left many others injured.
“Islamic State fighters carried out a series of bombings with explosive belts and devices on Tuesday, targeting an airport and a central metro station,” the Amaq agency, which is affiliated with ISIS, said in a release.
“Islamic State fighters opened fire inside Zaventem Airport, before several of them detonated their explosive belts, as a martyrdom bomber detonated his explosive belt in the Maalbeek metro station,” the release added.
A series of bomb blasts hit the Zaventem airport and the Maalbeek metro station Tuesday, leading to at least a dozen dead and many more injured in the capital, Brussels.
Two bomb blasts hit the depature section of the Zaventem airport early Tuesday (around 0700 GMT). Whilst still being dealt with, the Maelbeek metro station was hit by another blast. Both facilities were closed in the wake of the attack, and Air Brussels cancelled all flights.
