Adakabre Recants Claim That Nana Akuffo-Addo Threatened His Life- Apologises

Okay Fm presenter Adakabre Frimpong Manso has withdrawn his earlier accusation against New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo, who he said had threatened his life in the past.
The statement generated outrage from the opposition party, who promptly called on Adakabre to substantiate his allegation or immediately apologise.
Speaking on Peace Fm Wednesday, Adakabre did the latter, saying that he was sorry for how things had turned out. He said the NPP flagbearer had never threatened him, whether via text of in person.
“Nana Addo didn’t personally send a text to Adakabre that he will kill me. And he didn’t verbally say that he will kill me.” He said.
“And secondly, the intention for which I granted that interview was not to portray Nana Addo as a violent person because I don’t like him or that because he’s a bad person.” he continued.
“Any inconveniences this must have caused Nana Addo and the NPP I duly apologise.”
This entire saga kicked off when the NPP announced that they were boycotting Okay Fm and Neat Fm, for perceived biases against them by Adakabre and Kwame Nkrumah Etikesie. Etikesie also issued his own apology on the issue, although it remains to be seen if the NPP would reverse their boycott anytime soon.
