Ghanaian duo Reggie and Bollie, who recently revealed their intention to return home from the UK to shoot their debut music video in the country, have revealed that the video is aimed at selling Ghana to the world.
The pair, who signed onto Simon Cowell’s Syco record label after their surprising run to the finals of X-Factor, have intimated that the label wants a story about Ghana to be the focal piece of their debut.
“The great thing is the label said you know what, they’ve done a lot of research on our country Ghana. It’s a beautiful place, they just want to make sure our first video is able to communicate that to the world and so we it will be a lot of tourist attraction for different places.” Reggie told Antoine Mensah on Live Fm.
“They are trying to capture the Ghanaian vibe, the atmosphere, that youthfulness and smiles on the faces of Ghanaians and we so proud that through us people get to see and experience the Ghanaian culture in a very positive way.” he added.
“Ghana We’re coming home! We’re going to be shooting our debut music video in our hometown & we’re so excited!” the ebullient pair had said, earlier this week, in a short video announcing their plans to shoot their debut video in Ghana.
Reggie Zippy and Bollie have been domiciled in the United Kingdom for years now, ever since they left relatively successful careers to move to the island; where they stayed under the radar until they teamed up and finished as runners-up in this year’s X-Factor competition.
