The overlord of the Ashanti Kingdom, Nana Osei Tutu II, celebrates his birthday today, Friday, May 6, 2016.
The reigning monarch turns 66 on this fateful day.
Osei Tutu II, the 16th royal head of the Ashanti Kingdom, was born Nana Barima Kwaku Duah on the 6th of May, 1950. After a distinguished life of business, he ascended to the throne on 26 April 1999, following the death of his predecessor, Opoku Ware II.
Osei Tutu II is married with six children, and as occupant of the Golden Stool, serves as owner and grand patron of Kumasi Asante Kotoko. He is the political and spiritual head of the proud people of Asanteman, who make up the Ashanti Kingdom.

Please stop peddling lies. A “distinguish life of business,” my butt. This crook was no more than a common drug dealer before Ashanti’s antiquated customs (thru his mother’s power and influence) put him on the throne. Please ask this criminal why in light of his “prestige” and wordly travels he still can’t step a foot again in Canada after all these years in power eventhough he had lived in Canada for years before he became the overlord he is now.
