The world’s foremost power couple’s search for a Los Angeles mansion continues unabated; after Jay-Z and Beyonce lost a bidding war for a Beverly Hill mansion to designer extraordinaire, Tom Ford.
Ford’s final $50m bid just edged out the Queen Bey and the Roc Nation head’s $49m offer, TMZ reports.
The pair have reportedly been looking for such a mansion the past few years, but the omens have just not been lining up for them- they reportedly lost a similar auction to Minecraft creator Markus Persson in 2014.
According to the site:

The estate is awesome … 14,000 square feet, sitting on 3.2 acres and has 9 bedrooms, and 10 bathrooms. It was built in 1934 and owned by the rich and famous, including actor William Powell and ‘James Bond’ producer Albert Broccoli.
The house is in escrow.
