EgyptAir Crash- Officials Say Terror Attack Most Likely Cause Of Crash

Egyptian aviation Minister Sherif Fathi says that based on what they have gathered so far, the cause of the EgyptAir Crash on Thursday might most likely be an act of terror.
Fathi told the press that the plane- EgyptAir flight MS804 disappeared off radar early Thursday- had taken some radical turns mid-flight, which might point to external influences.
“It turned 90 degrees left and then a 360-degree turn toward the right, dropping from 37,000 to 15,000 feet and then it was lost at about 10,000 feet.” the Minister said.
“Let’s not try to jump to the side that is trying to identify this as a technical failure – on the contrary.
“The situation may point – and I say ‘may’ because I don’t want to speculate and I don’t want to go to assumptions like others – but if you analyse the situation properly, the possibility of having a different action, or having a terror attack, is higher than the possibility of having a technical [fault].”
The search for the aircraft is still ongoing, and debris has been spotted in parts of the search area. Greek and Egyptian naval forces as well as the British Royal Air Force are all involved in the search.
The EgyptAir flight, an Airbus A320, disappeared from radar just after midnight GMT (0230 Cairo) Thursday, just after clearing Greek airspace and whilst still over the Mediterranean. The Airbus had on board a total of 66 people, with 56 passengers, six crew and three security personnel. Three of the passengers were children.
