A butcher in Sunyani has found himself on the wrong side of the law after deciding to go, literally, for the ‘wrong meat’.
Moro Iddrisu of the Sunyani Zongo was picked up on Monday for allegedly stealing a goat belonging to the Brong Ahafo Regional Police Operations Commander.
Moro was reportedly seen dragging the goat away by residents, who were suspicious of his behaviour and questioned him. Unable to provide cogent answers as to where he got the goat, the arrival of a police patrol team worsened his situation, and he was dragged away for further interrogation.
Iddrisu admitted stealing the goat whilst in custody, and investigations has also revealed the former butcher to be a serial goat thief.
