John Paintsil has been on the lips of many people over the last 48 hours—owning to the fact that, he was locked at the East Legon Police Station for alledgely assaulting a police officer after his wife brought a car theft complaint against him.
Following this incident, GhanaCeleberities.Com spoke to Tina Paintsil, a big sister of John, who emphatically told us that, the such complaint brought against her brother was bogus—because, the car under contention was bought by John Paintsil, only that the wife later forged things and got the car into her name.
John Paintstil was granted bail a day after his detention—and a source close to the family has told GhanaCelebrities.Com that, the wife has finally confessed to the police that the car indeed belongs to her husband. As such, the issue has been moved to the police headquarters for amicable settlement.
As it stands, it is not clear if John Paintsil will serve his wife, with whom he has 3 children the seemingly over due divorce papers.
He has been locked up in police cells twice because of this same wife and considering what her sister told us about this wife including indictments of stealing from John, divorce seems like the only reasonable route.
